The Kiboko 30L is an exciting update to our wildly popular lightweight Kiboko photographic backpack, heralded as a smarter way of transporting your photo gear. Kiboko features a butterfly opening, allowing for a unique configuration of long lenses, multiple DSLR bodies, and ultimate customization.

Changing what works is always scary business, but after extensive feedback by customers worldwide, we listened and updated the bag while maintaining its lightweight and durable characteristics. Weighing in at just 4 lbs, the Kiboko 30L now features a removable waist belt. Let’s face it, every once in a while, we aren’t going on a five-mile hike to some exotic landscape feature at four in the morning. Many times, the only hiking being done is from the land rover, taxi or plane. In the case of event photographers with long lenses, the walk from the car through the stadium’s arching entrance to the end zone doesn’t require a load supporting waist belt – even if it’s incredibly well built like Kiboko’s. For those occasions when less-is-best, slip out the waist belt and enjoy the flexibility that Kiboko 30L offers.

We’ve also been able to squeeze in a little extra ‘cush’ for the ‘toosh’ with more lumbar padding. Building on the less-is-best philosophy we’ve reduced the number of zipper pulls simplifying the overall look and functionality of the bag. Sometimes the question isn’t what to add, it’s what to remove. As always, each Kiboko 30L comes complete with a custom-fit rain cover and a no-nonsense warranty.

Lightweight

Kiboko is the only bag of its class that is only four pounds. Camera gear is heavy enough, your bag shouldn't add to your load, but rather help you carry it more efficiently. Kiboko's weight savings comes from the use of high-tech fabrics commonly found on the fastest sail boats in the world. It's strength to weight ratios is what helped make VX-21 the material of choice for America's Cup race sails.

Durable

Our high-tech materials weigh one-third the weight of materials found in competing bags, but still offer superb durability to keep your gear well-protected. The outer materials are abrasion- and tear-resistant while the specially designed lightweight padding can handle rough impacts associated with handling and transporting gear in remote regions or urban landscapes; all without the bulk of traditional foams used in camera bags.

Comfortable

Kiboko can be carried using our unique ergonomically-placed handles, or as a backpack using our retractable highly-engineered harness system. Every detail has been thought of -- down to our unique zipper design, which have zipper pulls that are easy-to-use even when using gloves in the winter.

Fully Functional

Kiboko features a unique butterfly flap access system which allows you to easily get to multiple bodies, lenses, and all your photo accessories. The bag's interior is flexible and fully customizable to suit your individual needs. The harness system fully retracts for loading in to airplanes or anywhere else the straps might get in the way. For those occasions when the waist belt is just in the way, remove it. We've designed the belt to be removed for those short hikes and other occasions when it is simply not needed. Because of our unique design and incorporation of high-tech materials, this bag can be used as a carry-on for domestic and many international flights.
